Tammie's Hobbies is the premiere hobby store in the West. We specialize in the classic American hobbies like

- Radio Controlled vehicles - Airplanes, Helicopters, Quadcopters (Drones), Cars, Rock Crawlers, and Boats;
- Model trains in all scales - HO, N, G, O, and Z;
- Model kits - classic and modern cars and trucks, airplanes, war vehicles and characters, boats, and science fiction;
- Wooden ship model kits;
- Model rockets;
- Science kits for expanding young minds;
- and so much more!

We're passionate about hobbies. Every person in each department is knowledgeable about their particular focus. Whether it's flying a model plane or helicopter, racing an RC car, building models, or creating and operating railroad layouts, our people have done it. And they can discuss with you the best way to fulfill your hobby dreams.

Tammie's is a family business, run by father and son, and we've been around for nearly 50 years. Our story began with a toy store in Tigard called Tammies Toy Town, named for the original owner's daughter. After a few years the current owners bought the store and the name with a borrowed $5,000 and began a decade's-long program of growth.

Several years later the store's name was changed to Tammies Toys and Hobbies, as the focus was beginning to shift away from toys to plastic model kits and model trains. As the business grew it was moved to larger facilities and eventually changed to its current name, Tammie's Hobbies.

The online business is new to us, but what's not new is Tammie's unrivaled ability to serve hobbyists across the country and the world. For years we've helped customers through the mail and over the telephone, filling orders with prices that other hobby shops just could not match.

Now we're diving into the Internet with a full blown e-store. Even though two storefronts were joined to create our current physical location with enough space to hold the thousands of items that we keep in stock every day, there are so many items (we're stuffed to the rafters with 'em!) that we can't list them all on the website. So if you don't see something you want on our site call us or e-mail us. The item could be in our store.
